Continuing Professional Development System (CPD) CIPS members can use the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) system to enter records of the type of activity undertaken, what was involved, (including key learning points) and the time spent on the activity. The output from the CPD system is a comprehensive record that can be submitted as evidence of activity undertaken. This can then be submitted to CIPS as part of a CPD programme. Members can register for the CIPS CPD programme at www.cips.org and clicking the 'Membership' link. Importantly for employers, this facility allows the production of a individual CPD report proving invaluable for performance review purposes. CIPS have a CPD programme, which enables individuals to recognise and record those learnings and experiences by formulating a step-by-step plan for future development.
